I am Sue Michaels, the Owner, curator of kitchen tools and International Cooking teacher. I look forward to cooking with you soon!

Why take a cooking class?
Because it is fun to create a meal while learning new skills and then eat it with new friends!
I call it Social Cooking- learning to make new foods with new friends in a cozy home-style kitchen.
Cooking classes and private parties are usually held evenings 6-9pm.
From basics to advanced culinary instruction, join us.
I provide the kitchen, the ingredients and guide you through the entire process.
You put together your meal, piece by piece, learning cooking and preparation techniques along the way. Then we all sit down and enjoy it together!

My love of International food comes from living abroad where my parents were stationed for work. I grew up jumping from country to country, tackling each new cuisine, cooking right alongside my Mother as she entertained foreign dignitaries.
As an adult I took many cooking classes and I realized - "I can do this!" I enjoy teaching others and enjoy the process of teaching. I started with a few classes at the the former Front and Center and eventually opened The Kitchen Store, Inc. in Apalachin, NY in 2012, then moved to Owego, NY in 2014 and now we are located in Wake Forest, NC.
People are drawn to our cooking classes since we offer classes no one else does!

Think Birthday Parties, after hours work parties, Girls' Night out and so many other special occasions can be hosted at the the Kitchen Store, at 708 N. Main St. Wake Forest, NC. We provide all the food and the step by step instruction in our cozy homestyle kitchen. You can BYOB.
